She uses her background in academic research and from co-founding the RoboCup robotics competition to inform her work.

Appointed by Barack Obama to lead data-driven decision making across the government, DJ is America’s first Chief Data Scientist. In this talk, he will discuss the lessons he learned in government and industry, particularly around data ethics, inclusivity open data and the value of collaboration..
