In his current role, Dan is responsible for democratizing access to data with self-service capabilities and reducing time to insight with real-time analytics. Prior to this role, Dan was focused on growing Viacom’s global digital audience with Product Analytics. Dan holds a Masters from NYU and is currently pursuing his second degree at Northwestern University.

Steve Sobel is the Global Industry Leader for Media & Entertainment at Databricks where he is charged with solution development, customer/partner engagement and account support and for some of the world’s most prominent media & entertainment organizations spanning agencies & advertising, broadcasting & film, publishing, gaming, sports & entertainment and new media. Steve works closely with strategic customers across the globe to translate what Databricks does and closely align platform use cases to help industry customers drive revenue and operational efficiency through more efficient use of their big data with Databrick’s Unified Data Analytics Platform.
Kevin Davis has served as Databricks' Vice President, Public Sector since September 2018. Prior to joining Databricks, Mr. Davis served as Vice President, Public Sector at Splunk from 2014-2018. Before joining Splunk, Mr. Davis was at Oracle from 2005 to 2014 in a series of increasingly expanding positions, culminating as the Vice President for Oracle, Defense Technology. Prior to Oracle, he ran the sales, operations and marketing of Bor-land Software into the Defense, Intelligence and Federal Civilian Government Agencies. Mr. Davis was also with Macromedia (since acquired by Adobe) where he ran Field Sales and Operations for all Public Sector Sales. Mr. Davis received his B.S. in Marketing from Boston College where he attended on a full athletic scholarship.
