Senior Partner Marketing Manager, Azure Databricks

Mission

Databricks has a strategic and unique partnership with Microsoft, whereby Microsoft OEMs Databricks and offers Azure Databricks as an integrated, first-party service within its Azure Portal.  This Senior Partner Marketing Manager role at Databricks will lead our joint marketing with Microsoft to raise awareness of this offering, build pipeline and progress that pipeline to deals.  The role is primarily responsible for outbound product marketing activities, working closely with core product marketing / management, sales enablement, market intelligence, and corporate marketing teams.  The ideal candidate will have experience as a product marketing manager (or similar) at an enterprise software company, collaborated with partners to create joint messaging, and driven marketing campaigns to generate demand.

Outcomes
  • Develop positioning and messaging in collaboration with Microsoft that resonates with our core audience: data scientists, data engineering and analytics leaders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customer use cases and create powerful customer evidence assets
  • Create GTM campaigns that drive pipeline with measurable outcomes
  • Create engaging content that fuels demand generation programs and builds awareness in the marketplace
  • Enable the sales force by developing collateral and providing training
  • Develop marketing collateral: datasheets, presentations, etc.
  • Perform market analysis and competitive research
  • Plan and manage product launch activities
  • Present at tradeshows and conferences

Competencies

  • Demonstrated product marketing skills for creating messaging and content
  • A history of creating and executing successful GTM programs – working with partners a plus
  • Reference-able materials that provide customer evidence that is on message
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent content creation skills
  • Experience positioning technical products to both technical and business buyers
  • Experience in data science, data engineering or analytics is an advantage.
  • Bachelors degree required; preferably in Computer Science
