Data Platform Modernization with a Data Mesh Architecture (repeated)

Bradesco is one of the largest private banks in Latin America, with over 75 million customers, over 80 years of operating in the Brazilian banking and finance industry, and a huge legacy corporate Data Platform ecosystem. Throughout its journey, the Bank has made several acquisitions, contributing to heterogeneous Analytical Data environments with many different technologies and business silos. This ecosystem currently has over 5,000 users and 5 PB of data loaded from 400 different transactional systems. With Databricks, we are modernizing our data ecosystem by creating a harmonized Data Mesh architecture using all the features available on its platform, such as Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, DLT, and Delta Sharing – for sharing data between different tenants. As a result, we see more efficient operations while enabling better governance. This makes us confident that we can expect increased revenue by making this foundation available to our entire data team.
