The Virtue Foundation is a nonprofit that seeks to increase the efficiency of global healthcare delivery through their research and analytics, improving access to medical and surgical services for millions of people.
Having published the “World Compendium of Healthcare Facilities and Nonprofit Organisations” and leveraged it to identify medical deserts in low and middle income countries, the team are now looking to deepen and refresh the data.
With the advent of Generative AI, what previously took 10,000s of clinician hours to develop, can be streamlined and enhanced. In collaboration with Databricks, the Virtue Foundation are exploring mining publicly available information using large language models to understand more about healthcare facilities in low and middle income countries.
