Open Sourcing Unity Catalog

We recently announced that we are open-sourcing Unity Catalog, the industry’s only open catalog for data and AI. This initiative continues Databricks' commitment to open ecosystem enablement, ensuring customers have the flexibility and control they need without vendor lock-in, and ushering in a new era for open catalog standards for data and AI.In this session, we will explore the details of the open API specification and how UC supports tables, unstructured data, credential vending, and Gen AI tools. We have built a reference implementation that includes a new SDK with UC OSS REST APIs, making it easier for you to start running, building, and contributing.
