I'm a former academic turned data scientist with a passion for data mesh architectures. My background is in data science and statistics, and I hold a PhD in applied mathematics. As an academic I have made significant contributions to research in biomedical modeling by successfully debunking a leading biomedical hypothesis on Alzheimer's disease and developing innovative approaches to quantify blood supply to the heart. My industry experience spans a broad selection of domains in both the private and public sector. As Head of AI and MLOps at Gjensidige, Norway's largest insurance company, I lead a team of enablers for both data-driven analytics and AI-powered innovation. In my spare time you'll find me either on a bike or on a pair of skis.
