I am Chenhao, a Software Engineer at Databricks. I work in the Photon team, a native vectorized engine on the Lakehouse Platform written in C++, providing customers with infrastructure cost savings and speedups. I designed and implemented the Variant binary format, which has been shown to improve processing speed and save storage costs on semi-structured data.
