Dan is VP of Engineering at Aetion, where he leads data ingestion onto their petabyte-scale data platform, to help scientists study the safety and effectiveness of new treatments.
Previously, Dan led infrastructure at Foursquare, driving profitability and international growth. He had a variety of technical and strategic leadership roles at IBM before returning to startups. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a BA from Brandeis University in Computer Science and History.
He lives outside New York City with his wife and teen sons. Outside the office, Dan is an avid Philadelphia sports fan, tinkers with his chatbots, and tries to perfect his smoked brisket.
