Stan is a senior data scientist who hails from Scotland. An alumnus of the University of Edinburgh, he graduated with an MSc in Speech & Language Processing in which his thesis revolved around the prediction of human emotion from speech waveforms. Stan is passionate about fostering engagements in data science both among the public and within his role at SEGA Europe. His contributions have been instrumental in integrating machine learning into the business decision-making process with a keen focus on using data to enrich the gamer experience. Outside of his professional endeavours, Stan is an avid quizzer and has represented Scotland in various national and international trivia competitions. He is also a huge sport and board game enthusiast.
