Venkat has almost 30 years of information technology experience across multiple domains – Education, Retail, Supply Chain, Logistics and Utilities. He currently leads the Architecture, Data Analytics & Reporting teams at Southern Company serving Gas Utilities business. Venkat has a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and MBA in Marketing. He has been leading Data Engineering, DW/BI and AI teams since 2007. Venkat is currently partnering with Enterprise Data Governance and Decision Support organization in business and leads the implementation of Enterprise Data Platform for Southern Company Gas which comprises of four Local Gas Distribution Companies in Illinois, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
