Shahmeer Mirza is the Senior Director of Data, AI/ML, and R&D at 7-Eleven. His teams are responsible for data engineering, machine learning, and innovation across 7-Eleven, with work ranging from order forecasting to real-time computer vision at the edge. Over the last several years, he and his team have launched several applied machine learning products, including a computer vision self-check-out system. Shahmeer leads teams with expertise across a variety of engineering disciplines, including data, machine learning, hardware, full-stack, and systems. Shahmeer has over 80 granted patents, and holds an MS in Computer Science and a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
