The same Stripe pipeline that feeds your lakehouse analytics can now power your applications

If your business runs on Stripe, your application needs access to Stripe data at runtime to respond to customer activity, whether that's confirming a payment, updating subscription access, or displaying billing details. Keeping that data in sync with Stripe has traditionally meant building and maintaining custom integrations with APIs or webhooks.
That's changing. Stripe Data Pipeline now supports real-time sync to Postgres [link Stripe's blog post], and Databricks Lakebase is one of the supported destinations (blog and documentation) powered by OpenSharing. Stripe streams real-time API data into Lakebase and manages the sync end to end.
Earlier this year, Stripe data became available to sync to Databricks through Stripe Data Pipeline. With real-time sync to Postgres, one Stripe account can now feed two Databricks destinations, each built for a different kind of work.
Stripe shares your payments, customers, subscriptions, refunds, and payouts data with your workspace through Delta Sharing, so your Stripe data becomes just another table in Unity Catalog, governed and ready to join with the rest of your business data.
Teams use it to score which customers are likely to churn, ask Genie for MRR by geography, reconcile payments at month-end, and give finance teams governed apps to explore payment data. These workloads look at patterns across thousands of customers and many weeks of history.
With Stripe Data Pipeline's real-time sync to Postgres, your payment, customer, subscription, and other Stripe data is continuously synced to Lakebase, with updates arriving within seconds.
Your application can query this data to drive its logic, determining what actions to take and what content to surface based on an up-to-date view of Stripe data.
Keeping your application's database up to date with real-time Stripe data takes ongoing effort. Today, most teams rely on one of two approaches:
Either way, it's a separate piece of infrastructure to build, monitor, and maintain. And when it fails, customers end up with the wrong access or outdated account details.
That infrastructure work goes away with Stripe Data Pipeline. Choose which Stripe tables to sync to Lakebase, and Stripe handles the backfill, ongoing delivery, and data audits through its no-code pipeline, helping keep your data complete and up to date.
With real-time Stripe data in Lakebase, your application can access the latest payment and subscription information to support core product functionality and customer experiences, including:
When a customer upgrades their plan, their new subscription details are reflected in Lakebase within seconds, and your application unlocks premium features on their next request. When a subscription is canceled or a renewal fails, access changes just as quickly, with no event handler in between and no window where a paying customer is stuck on the free plan.
Customers expect their account page to reflect what just happened: the plan they're on, the invoice that was paid this morning, the card that needs updating. With subscriptions, invoices, and payment data synced to Lakebase, your application can show accurate billing details wherever customers manage their account, without calling the Stripe API on every page load.
With charges, refunds, and payouts syncing continuously, you can build dashboards that show daily sales volume, payouts, and refunds as they happen.
With subscription and payment history right in your application database, you can serve contextual offers at the right moment: a win-back discount shortly after a customer cancels, an upgrade prompt when usage outgrows their plan, or a reminder when a payment method is about to expire.
