Mission:

The Field Engineering Product Architect - Unity Catalog will work with some of our most strategic customers as a thought leader, educator, and evangelist for our Unity Catalog product. This person will be a key partner to Field Enablement, determining which assets and content need to be delivered and maintained for the technical field to sell and support UC adoption. They will also be responsible for cultivating the Unity Catalog community of SMEs, the top talent and contributors when it comes to Databricks’s collective data governance expertise. This is an individual contributor role, but will function as a technical leader for our Field Engineering team, particularly in the domain of Unity Catalog.

The ideal candidate has experience selling and driving adoption of cloud data governance solutions, especially Unity Catalog, to technical leaders and executives at large organizations ($10B+ revenue). You’ll thrive in a high growth environment with constant change and are excited to be part of the expanding Databricks mission.

Outcomes:

  • Drive incremental adoption and strategic alignment on Unity Catalog, or Databricks as the data governance platform of choice, across a target set of 15-20 top customers
  • Drive scaled expertise and experience with Unity Catalog across a global community of SMEs in partnership with the Field Enablement team

Competencies & Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in the data analytics space with a deeply technical product 
  • Proven trusted advisor to technical executives that drive strategic data decisions.
  • Experience cultivating knowledge and community across a high scale organization
  • Strong leadership skills - create a positive morale for the team and help foster a strong working relationship between the field engineering and direct sales team.
