At Databricks Business Systems Engineering, we are a product-led organization transforming the way we work from how easy it is to use our IT services for our end-users, helping Databricks scale seamlessly in the face of incredible growth. You will work on a broad set of interesting projects that will be challenging and provide a competitive advantage to us not ordinarily derived from SaaS products. These enterprise business application projects may be focused on our internal products such as chatbots powered by GenAI or products used by the entire company focused on the Brickster experience.
We are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build the products that power the Databricks organization. Our internal tools provide us with a competitive advantage not ordinarily derived from off-the-shelf SaaS products.
The impact you will have:
- As a full stack software engineer (60% BE / 40% FE), you will work with your team to build amazing tools/applications for internal company use as well as external customers/partners
- You will design, develop, test, and support full-stack applications on cloud-native distributed systems
- You will build real-time integrations with Databricks Platform and other SaaS platforms
- You will build a quality framework/unit tests that ensure product quality, performance, and load and are able to debug/identify system issues
- You will collaborate with the broader teams, engage in engineering council, conduct code reviews, and improve our delivery process
What we look for:
- 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with UI frameworks such as React or Angular and HTML, CSS, Typescript, Javascript
- Proficiency with backend technologies, including API development, databases, and privacy permissions. Ex. Go, Python, PostgreSQL and GraphQL
- Experience with end-to-end testing (Playwright) and documentation
- Experience developing secure, scalable, and resilient applications on the cloud that handle sensitive data
- Experience integrating solutions with other SaaS platforms
- Experience with cloud technologies, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes
- An ability to collaborate with IT Product Managers and business partners

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
