Manager, Sales Development

Databricks operates at the leading edge of the data and AI space with a mission to help companies solve the world’s toughest problems. We are expanding our sales development team at Databricks and are looking for a strategic leader to manage and grow our team, and help us expand our business in the region.

Reporting to the Senior BDR Manager for Central Europe (DACH), you will be an important contributor to our sales leadership team, leading recruiting, pipeline generation strategy and constructive coaching for our BDRs.

You will have experience driving pipeline generation, leading sales development teams and working with sales and marketing teams, ideally in a consumption based business.

The impact you will have:

  • Take the primary leadership role in building and scaling an outstanding team.
  • Shape strategy for new spender development within Central Europe (DACH)
  • Coach your team to execute successful new business sales cycles.
  • Engage with senior client stakeholders to build strategic relationships.
  • Work with Sales Leadership, Field Engineering and Databricks Partners to maximize the contribution of the team.
  • Maintain strong reporting, accountability and attainment against quota.

What we look for:

  • Experience as a SDR/BDR manager with consistent overachievement against quota
  • Exceptional coach of junior sales talent
  • Experience growing a sales development team by recruiting and developing SDRs, focused on giving people the training and support that they need to succeed
  • Strength in collaborating with first and second line sales leadership and the cross functional ecosystem
  • High proficiency in leveraging sales tools including Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft
  • Experience in the cloud, big data and AI space
  • Excellent German and English communication skills (written and spoken)
